Under Armour Basketball x Sam Rodriguez

A collaboration between myself and Under Armour Basketball. We created a limited Steph Curry t-shirt design to accompany his '3C' shoe release at select U.S. Foot Locker stores. Unfortunately I don't know which stores have them, but I hear they are in most West Coast locations and a few in NYC. I am currently working on more designs with them which should release later in the year. Stay tuned!

RIP Phife Dawg

Time Lapse of some ideas I sketched for a painting I'll do to tribute the late great Phife. His beats got me through some rough times as a youth but more importantly taught me about styling in my art. Thank you to Jarobi White for the go ahead to add the beats and condolences to you and his family.

Painting Time-Lapse

I recently started messing around with the Time-Lapse function on my Iphone 6. I am going to start posting process videos. Although they will not be all that lengthy, or too high in quality, they will show a glimpse into my painting & drawing process.  I hope to eventually improve my filming setup so until then, enjoy these LoRes phone vids! Drawings in 2015

This year I really tried to narrow down what kind of style & technique I wanted to use in drawings and paintings as 2014 was more about experimentation. Year 2015 was less about experimentation and more about refinement. I am happy to say that I accomplished these simple goals. Enjoy!

About Ancient Aliens

These pieces are part of my ongoing 'Ancient Aliens' series. They are a remix of some of my favorite Star Wars characters inspired by ancient Azteca hieroglyphics. I have an ongoing interest in the mysteries of Ancient civilizations and speculations of whether they migrated from the cosmos to Earth. Sometimes I wonder what Ancient Hieroglyphics would communicate in present times. 

So far this series (Ancient Aliens) is in its early stages as I have just begun mixing and exploring current fashion, and culture with past Azteca Hieroglyphics. The Star Wars Remix happened because I've always been a fan of the films since my childhood and the new film release naturally reignited my interest. I thought it would be funny to combine mythical imagery from today with ancient times so the idea flowed perfect with my current Ancient Aliens series. I am heavily inspired by the process of DJ's, and Sound Engineers, I've always admired how they sampled bits of culture, and time periods to create new work. I think this can be explored so much more in visual arts.
